HYRDEHØJ PLEJECENTER 28

Fællesskabet Hyrdehøj

In 2020, Roskilde was given 35 new, architect-designed town houses. The housing cluster has the perfect balance between green common areas and private gardens so that all residents have plenty of outdoor space. The 35 homes form a unique combination of terraced houses and detached villas.

The private gardens are shielded with board fences built of ThermoWood from Frøslev Træ. The entrance areas, the terrace and the sheds are also made of ThermoWood for a beautiful unity in the individual houses and in the entire building. ThermoWood carries the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.

ThermoWood is now being used a lot in Scandinavian buildings. The reason is that the product is heat-treated with a high level of durability which is obtained by using heat and steam and with no use of toxins and harmful gases. It is therefore ideal for terraces and other areas that are used a lot and still have to look nice for a long time.

The drawing office Cornelius Vöge has worked with project developer Broen Development, landscape architect Anne Stausholm and engineer Art-tek Ingeniør Rådgivning to build this beautiful neighbourhood. Today, the modern buildings adorn the beautiful cityscape of Roskilde, and they will continue to do so for a long time.
